Tilcon Delaware is at the forefront of the aggregate and construction industry in recycling and researching alternative natural resources. Its state-of-the-art lab uses advanced technology and equipment to continuously monitor and test its sand, gravel and aggregate products.

Tilcon’s recycling efforts include:

  • The use of recycled hot-mix asphalt, concrete and shingles in mixes
  • Experimentation with recycled materials such as crushed glass and plastics for mixes
  • Conservation of crude oil and aggregates by using recycled materials
  • State-of-the-art lab for researching, designing and testing recycled materials
  • Has educated more than 2,000 students about the aggregate industry as part of the Science, Math & Technology Alliance in the What in the World program
  • Annual participation in Delaware Solid Waste Authority’s Earth Day Festival
